REMO MASTER TOUCH help

HELLO
I was playing on the REMO mastertouch snare drum and it sounded cool,but I don't know if it is metal,wood or brass
Please help

They're made of "Acousticon," which is weird man-made wood-like stuff. Sonny Emory used to play them (I actually played one of his old kits at my friend's rehearsal studio, and the kick sounded bad-ass). Jeff Hamilton plays Remo drums, and his sound amazing.

I just reviewed one of their new Gold Crown snares for an upcoming issue of Drum! It's made of a new type of acousticon and looks like a metal drum. I've used it on a lot of gigs lately.

Terry Bozio was on a video posted here that showed him playing an Acousticon kit. I know he used one of these when he played with Mick Jagger.

Bozzios first video was done using the Remo kit. Acousticon is basically sawdust with epoxy formed to make a shell, at least the earlier kits were made this way.
